Description

Thank you for visiting my site! I hope you enjoy looking around and getting to know my style. I like painting on big canvases and before I start, I do a breif meditation and turn on some music. Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to paint. I just relax, have fun then "wake up" to vivid color and abstracts. My painting are an internal expression, usually bold in color and design. Since perception is personal, I like art to be left to the veiwers interpretation. There's no right or wrong in veiwing art, each person sees something different. That's why making art is so engaging. You never know what meaning it will have to you or others. I graduated from Regis University in 1989 with a degree in Digital Arts/Communications. I wanderlusted and traveled for a couple of years before landing in '91 at the U of A graduate program in Journalism. One of my biggest influences in art was the magical land and people of the Boston mountains in Fayetteville, AR. During that time I studied, lived and worked with people impassioned by new and different perspectives. Art, philosophy, music, and our village mentality created a strong community that opened doors to my true self. My interests still reflect these life experiences and I've enjoyed many professions: Television production manager, Neuromuscular massage therapist, Co-owner of a holistic health center, Stay at home mom, Volunteer extrodanaire, and currently studying to be a Yoga teacher in 2017. But really, I'm just a student of life. My meditation teacher reminds me to "stay in kindergarden." To remain teachable and keep the awe and wonder in life. And mostly, be amused.
